Crossgrades

Crossgrades are discounts on products that you can get if you already own a similar product of ours. The product is exactly the same regardless of whether it's bought at full price or crossgrade price.

How crossgrades work

Crossgrades are now automatic — no special steps needed! If you're logged in and eligible for a crossgrade discount, you'll see the discounted price on the product page with the regular price crossed out.

1. Log in to your account with the email address you used to purchase your FrozenPlain products
2. Visit any product page — if you're eligible for a crossgrade, the discount will be shown automatically
3. Add the product to your cart and checkout normally

Crossgrade discounts are for the same license type as your original purchase/redemption. For example, if you bought a product with a Personal License, the crossgrade discount will be for the Personal License of the new product.

If you're not logged in, you'll see regular prices. Make sure to log in to see any crossgrade discounts you're eligible for.

Crossgrades only apply if you purchased/redeemed a product from us directly rather than through a third-party shop.

50% off Slow if you purchased/redeemed Slow: Kontakt before 11/28/2024.

The new Floe version of Slow uses the same samples as the Kontakt original, with minor tuning adjustments. Both engines offer similar capabilities, but the Floe version may provide a faster sound design workflow and an easier-to-use interface that matches other FrozenPlain products. Floe will see continued development and improvements. Additionally, the new version includes 100 new presets. The old presets are not available in the new version.

50% off Terracotta if you purchased/redeemed Terracotta: Kontakt before 11/28/2024.

The Floe version of Terracotta maintains the original Kontakt samples, with minor tuning adjustments and changes to the Celeste instrument. Both engines offer similar capabilities, but the Floe version may provide a faster sound design workflow and an easier-to-use interface that matches other FrozenPlain products. Floe will see continued development and improvements. Additionally, the new version includes 40 new presets.

The Floe version of Phoenix maintains the original Kontakt samples, with improved tuning on one instrument and optimized sample lengths. Both engines offer similar capabilities, but the Floe version may provide a faster sound design workflow and an easier-to-use interface that matches other FrozenPlain products. Floe will see continued development and improvements. Additionally, the new version includes 80 new presets.

50% off Arctic Strings if you purchased/redeemed Arctic Strings: Kontakt before 11/28/2024.

The Floe version of Arctic Strings makes the string samples accessible to users without Kontakt. While it omits certain features (scripted legato/portamento, mod matrix, chord harmonizer, and themed GUI), it adds 42 new presets for more sound design applications: it leans into being a creative sound-design tool more than trying for realism like the Kontakt version was. Being part of the Floe platform means it will receive ongoing free updates and improvements.

The samples for Music Box Suite are mostly taken from our old Kontakt library, Dual Music Box. The samples have been greatly improved and have been put into our new engine, Floe, which offers vastly more features for creative sound design. As well as this, there a new set of extra instruments that are designed to be blended with the music box sounds.
