Mirage

Sample-based Instrument Engine

Mirage is our free sample-based synth engine in VST2 and AU formats. It hosts our Mirage-format libraries; allowing you to browse, shape and perform our sounds.

Mirage is an engine — it's empty without sample libraries. You can download Music Box Suite Free to test it out.

Mirage vs Floe

Floe is our newer, open-source successor currently in beta. It includes all of Mirage's capabilities plus VST3/CLAP support, enhanced browsing, and many improvements.

Floe is still in beta, but we recommend trying it out. It can seamlessly load all Mirage-format libraries.

Mirage system requirements

  • macOS: macOS 10.12 or later. Both Intel and Apple Silicon are supported (Universal Binary).
